Black Friday: Bomb Threat Evacuates Walmart, Other Stores in Fredericksburg
Police expect to reopen the store today, but are currently turning away all traffic in the area.

Black Friday was cut short for shoppers in Fredericksburg on Friday, Nov. 28, after a bomb threat was called in to a local Walmart.
At least a dozen stores were evacuated and closed at the Southpoint Shoppes Shopping Center in Fredericksburg around 2 p.m. Friday, NBC12 reports.
An anonymous call was made around 2:08 p.m., threatening to bomb the center’s Walmart and forcing hundreds of shoppers to leave the area.

Police closed down Southpoint Parkway and brought in police dogs to investigate, according to NBC12. The criminal investigation division has begun an investigation into who made the call and traffic in the area is currently being turned away, The Free Lance-Star reports.
Spotsylvania police do not believe the incident is related to Walmart protests across the country.
