SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY, VA—A body found Sunday in the Enchanted Woods yard of a family returning from vacation has been identified as that of Deandre Miller-Caldwell, 23, of Spotsylvania, according to the Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office. Jarred Smith, 23, of Locust Grove, was charged with concealing a dead body.
An investigation found that Miller-Caldwell was a passenger in Smith's vehicle last Thursday when he lost consciousness because of heroin use. Smith lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a ditch in front of the home where Miller-Caldwell's body was found.
Before police arrived, Smith hid Miller-Caldwell's body "in such a manner to make him not visible from the roadway."
