Budget Tips For Brides and Grooms

Tips for deciding where to spend money in your wedding budget.

Congratulations to all the couples getting married this year.  Several venues have already begun spring weddings.

I am posting this question to all those with upcoming nuptials.  When you purchase your wedding albums or look at photos of your wedding day, what is it that you notice?  The looks on each other's faces?  The beautiful bouquets and flowers? The attention to detail that made your day so special?  Or do you look at the bar or food bill?

Is anyone going to remember or care if it was three appetizers or four you served?  Or if you had an open bar or served beer/wine and had a toast?

Weddings are not the time to go four-star on food, or sponsor over indulgence at the bar. Don't get me wrong.  Be selective and provide tasty food without breaking the bank.  And believe me, Uncle Charlie can do without his expensive scotch for one day and the guys don't have to do shots to have a great time at your wedding.  That's what the bachelor and bachelorette parties are for.

The reason I ask is if you are like most brides and grooms you have a budget.  Decide what it is you want to remember in photos about your wedding day.

Weddings are about celebrating your marriage!  Consider spending money on items that will help make memories that can be captured and displayed for a lifetime in your photos.
