Drugstore Beauty Gems Worth Trying

Periodically I receive a very conspiratorial question about what is good, REALLY good at the drugstore.  I have a list of winners I will share with my readers, based on extensive research and trial and error.

Milani Liquid Eye Pencil and L'oreal eye liners are excellent and have amazing staying power.

For mascara, there is one I swear by: L'oreal Voluminous Carbon Black.  It wears well, easily washes clean, and plays well with false lashes.  It is a winner, even when compared to higher end products.

I love the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Translucent for nearly all skin tones.  At this time of year with all of the flashes going, this powder delivers on keeping skin shine-free. 

The lip category is more difficult to narrow because there are so many winners.  Revlon Lip Butters and Glosses, Rimmel lipsticks, L'Oreal Caresse Lipsticks and Maybelline Color Sensation lipsticks are all wonderful products.  At under $10, you can get several trendy colors and stay in your beauty budget.
