Fashion Friday: The Classic White Button-Down Shirt. 3 Ways.
Transform a basic piece (the classic white, button-down shirt) into three fashionable looks.

In these trying economic times and in recognition of Earth week, let's use what we have. Right? Right!
Now, go grab your classic white, button-down shirt out of your closet. Yes, I know, you have to iron this article of clothing. Blah. We all hate it. If you're lucky, you know of and live near a budget-friendly drycleaner. If not, set up the ironing board, grab the starch and get to ironing because this little white shirt is going to become your new BFF.
Spring means layers, lots of layers. Find your favorite crewneck sweater and pop that bad boy (little white shirt) underneath. Roll the sleeves (so the white cuffs show) and pop the collar. That's it. You've taken a basic, ordinary sweater and added instant class and polish. I'd pair this with capris or a cute pleated skirt. Kick it up one more notch by adding a short necklace or a scarf. Done.

Second look: take your LWBDS (little white button-down shirt) and pair with a pencil skirt. Add a belt, a choker, and a clutch. In my mind, I'm thinking an animal-print pencil skirt, a black belt, a black choker and nude pumps. Bam! This look takes you from the office to dinner & cocktails. Where's the best Happy Hour in town, BTW? I digress.
Finally, make your favorite sheath dress more wearable (and more fashionable) in these undpredicatable spring temps by layering the LWBDS underneath. Roll the sleeves (this trick just adds instant cool points). Add a colorful scarf and peep-toe pumps and you are GTG (good to go)!
