"More Than Sad" DVD Starts the Conversation Among Teenagers About Mental Health

More Than Sad: Teen Depression, a DVD program from AFSP, educates high school students about depression, the leading risk factor for suicide in both adults and teens.

More Than Sad: Teen Depression, a DVD program from the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, educates high school students about depression, the leading risk factor for suicide in both adults and teens. 

Presenting vignettes of four teens that were treated for depression, this educational program aims to teach adolescents to recognize depression in themselves or their friends, and to encourage them to seek help.

Do you know of a local high school or youth church group who is interested in showing More Than Sad? If so, please e-mail us at nationalcapitaldc@afsp.org. We have volunteers trained in facilitating the DVD program who will come show the program at no cost to you!
