"More Than Sad" DVD Starts the Conversation Among Teenagers About Mental Health

More Than Sad: Teen Depression, a DVD program from the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, educates high school students about depression, the leading risk factor for suicide in both adults and teens. 

Presenting vignettes of four teens that were treated for depression, this educational program aims to teach adolescents to recognize depression in themselves or their friends, and to encourage them to seek help.

Help us remove the stigma from depression by allowing students to understand it as an illness, promote the importance and acceptability of seeking help, and demystify the treatment process.
