Focus is an important cue for you and your pup to know and practice.
The focus cue helps build a stronger bond with your pup. The focus cue is getting your pups attention. When you ask for a focus no matter the distraction, your pup should respond by looking into your eyes, patiently waiting for the next cue/action to be taken. While your pup is looking in your eyes give her/him the conditioned reinforcer -- a word or phrase "yes" "good boy/girl" -- then reward the pup with something they value as a high prize (petting, favorite toy, treat).
