Saying yes was the easy part.  Now you have to plan a party for 100 or more of your extended family and closest friends.

Let me be the first to break this to you gently in case you hadn’t heard.   Weddings are EXPENSIVE and TIME consuming to plan.  So take advantage of bridal shows to gather a lot of information at one time.

Here are my favorite tips when attending bridal shows:

·  Tip 1

Take a small tote bag with you to collect cards/brochures and something to write with.   The larger shows provide you a bag but open houses usually don’t. Also consider taking a small clipboard. 

·  Tip 2
Wear comfortable shoes and clothing.  Shows tend to be a little on the warm side if there is a large crowd. 

·  Tip 3
Collect lots of business cards.  After you leave a booth give the vendor a 1-3 star rating on the back of their card. Three star being the best.  If something really impressed you make note of it.  Here’s where the little clipboard comes in handy.

·  Tip 4
A number of shows have a bridal runway show.  Brides listen very closely!  This is the absolute best time to speak to vendors.  The other brides will be oohing and aahing over gowns and most vendors are left standing around.

·  Tip 5
