Celebrate Farmers Market Week at the Fredericksburg Farmers Market

Farmers Market Week begins THIS SATURDAY at the Fredericksburg City Farmers Market. To celebrate, the City will kick off Family Table (Summer Restaurant Week) with activities for kids and families in Hurkamp Park on Saturday, August 3, from 9am-1pm in conjunction with the Fredericksburg City Farmers Market.

In the park you will find family friendly activities including face painting, a moonbounce, build-your-own herb garden, tractors to touch, and more from Fredericksburg Parent, The Salvation Army, Greenline Service Corp., Fredericksburg Area Musuem and Cultural Center, and Fredericksburg City Parks & Rec. There will  also be live entertainment from celebrity singer Megan Green.

August brings an abundance of great produce to the market, a wonderful way to start the celebration of Farmers Market Week! On First Saturday’s the Farmers Market closes Prince Edward Street to bring you even more great vendors in addition to your old favorites! Come taste wine from Mattaponi Winery, and enjoy browsing fabulous fruits and vegetables, jams, honey, seafood, meat, cheese, eggs, milk, prepared foods, freshly baked breads, croissants, and scones, beautiful flowers and plants dog cookies, gelato, and more!

The Fredericksburg Farmers Market is located at Hurkamp Park on Prince Edward and George Streets. Market hours are 7am-2pm, Monday-Saturday. Additional market parking is available at Renato’s and FW Sullivan’s Restaurants. Credit and SNAP are accepted at the Market Manager Tent.
