Deputies Save Two Men From Overdose

They were found unconscious Friday night in a pickup truck off Route 1, says the Stafford County Sheriff's Office.

STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — Two men are facing drug possession charges after Stafford sheriff's deputies found them Friday night apparently overdosing on heroin in a parking lot off Route 1. The deputies were called to the scene at 8:08 p.m. in the rear of a business at 620 Cambridge St., according to a police report.

Upon arrival, they found two individuals who were unresponsive, the report stated. One of the men was lying on the ground by the driver’s side door of a Ford pickup truck, and the other was behind the vehicle.

One deputy "noticed a white powdery substance spread across the center console of the truck, which he believed to be heroin," the report stated. (For more information on this and other neighborhood stories, subscribe to Patch to receive daily newsletters and breaking news alerts.)
