Drool in the Pool Returns to Curtis Park Pool in Stafford

STAFFORD, VA — For whatever reason, some folks get a kick out of watching their dogs cavort in public swimming pools.

Toward that end, Stafford County Parks and Recreation will hold its seventh annual Drool in the Pool gala Sunday from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. at Curtis Park Pool, 58 Jesse Curtis Lane.

Among the festivities: paddle races, bobbing for tennis balls and a dog swimwear contest.

All well-behaved dogs are welcome but owners must provide written proof of current rabies vaccination.

Price of admission? $5 per dog and donation of a 3.5-pound bag of dog food.

Similarly, also Sunday, the Veterans Park annual Pooch Plunge will be held in Woodbridge.
