Evening with an Expert

Join us for an Evening with an Expert lecture It Smelled Like Money with Mr. Eric D. Powell on Thursday, June 18 at 7pm. Mr. Powell will discuss how Fredericksburg weathered the storm of the Great Depression. Mr. Powell is the Instructional Coordinator for Post Oak Middle School and the author of the article “Prosperity in Hard Times: Fredericksburg during the Great Depression,” in The Journal of Fredericksburg.

Evening with an Expert is free and open to the public. However, RSVPs are required. Please RSVP by calling 540-371-3037 x400 or to tjackson@famcc.org. All lectures will be held in the Catherine W. Jones McKann Center beginning at 7:00 pm. Doors will open at 6:30 pm. Seating is limited. A members’ only reception will follow in the galleries.
