Fatal Motorcycle Crash In Stafford County Under Investigation
Police in Stafford County are still investigating a motorcycle crash last Tuesday that led to the death of a Stafford man.
STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — Authorities in Stafford County are still investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred on Tuesday. Police said Richard Bobinger, a 58-year-old man from Stafford, died on Thursday due to injuries he suffered in the crash.
The motorcycle crash occurred around 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3 on Courthouse Road at Interstate 95. Police said the motorcycle's rider was thrown from the motorcycle, but no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
The rider, who was later identified as Bobinger, died at the Mary Washington Hospital from injuries he suffered in the crash.

The Stafford County Sheriff's Office said investigators would return to the crash site next week. Officials said the investigation would result in some road closures for several hours while the crash is documented. Authorities did not specify when the road closures would occur.
