Food Truck Rodeo Returns To Spotsylvania Courthouse Village

Merchants Square in Spotsylvania County will be filled with more than 20 food trucks selling a variety of foods.

SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY, VA — Get ready for the 5th Annual Courthouse Village Food Truck Rodeo where Merchants Square in Spotsylvania County will be filled with more than 20 food trucks and vendors offering a variety of cuisines for purchase. The event, sponsored by the Spotsylvania County's Department of Tourism and Vakos Companies, will take place on Saturday, April 11 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 9019 Old Battlefield Boulevard.

The public can vote on their your favorite vendor by 2:30 p.m. Non-food vendors will also be offering merchandise for sale during the event.

Event admission and parking are free. The organizers will be providing a limited number of tables and chairs, but attendees are welcome to bring blankets and chairs. Leashed dogs are welcome.

Music will be provided by DJ Heav Ham. J Tiger Martial Arts will offer a martial arts exhibition, while Anytime Fitness and Spotsylvania Courthouse Ballet will be doing demonsrations. The Spotsylvanians Chorus also will be performing at the event.

Contest award trophies are being designed and created by local artisan Hunter Perkinson, a 1973 graduate of Spotsylvania High School who began his blacksmith career in 1990 after attending Bear Mountain Outdoor School in Hightown, Virginia.

Spotsylvania Courthouse Village, developed by Vakos Companies, offers modern amenities and places of historic interest. It's surrounded by countryside and is located adjacent to the Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania National Military Park.
