At last week’s virtual town hall meeting held by Mary Washington Hospital, it was reported the hospital is:

* Making the recommendations to wear face mask (covering)

* Going to start taking temperatures on staff and visitors when they arrive

* Ordered equipment to do serology testing (anti-bodies)

* Are employing the latest drugs and methods with the patients (turning patients prone [on stomach)

* MWHC does have enough PPE at this time

* Hospital is busy in some spots and not in other, especially ED

* Looking to test patients needing elective surgeries, not sure when it will begin.

* No in-person visitations, but doing visitations with family via I-pad, daily updates to family from nursing staff.

* All positive patients are in the same unit at MWHC.

Continue social distancing and practice good hygiene, washing your hands thoroughly and covering your mouth when you cough, preferably into a tissue that you dispose of promptly or cough into the elbow of your sleeve.
