Fredericksburg Farmers Market Returns For 2026 Season At Hurkamp Park

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — The Fredericksburg Farmers Market will begin its 2026 outdoor season on Saturday, April 11, at Hurkamp Park, city officials announced on Tuesday.

The market, located at the intersection of William and Prince Edward streets, will operate every Saturday through Dec. 5. Hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

A staple of the downtown area, the open-air market features more than 30 local vendors offering a variety of homegrown and handmade goods. Available products include seasonal fruits and vegetables, meats, cheeses, honey, baked goods, and plants.

The 2026 season schedule also includes several specialized events:

  • Art in the Park: Local artists and crafters will join the market on the first and fourth Saturdays of each month from May through October, between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
  • Summer Midweek Market: Beginning June 3, a Wednesday afternoon market will run from 3 to 7 p.m. through Sept. 9.
  • Community and Youth Days: The city has scheduled a Community Day for April 25 and a Spring Kids’ Market for May 30.

Organizers noted that the market continues to participate in the SNAP/EBT program. Residents using these benefits can visit the Market Token Tent to receive up to $30 in matching funds for fresh produce through the Virginia Fresh Match program.
