Fredericksburg To Host Veterans Day Procession, Ceremony
The City of Fredericksburg is holding a Veterans Day event, including a procession and ceremony, starting at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 11.
FREDERICKSBURG, VA — The City of Fredericksburg is holding a Veterans Day event starting at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 11.
The event will begin in downtown Fredericksburg with a walking procession. The public, including family members and non-veterans, are invited to view the procession along the Washington Avenue Mall from Memorial Park to William and Barton streets.
The procession will end on George Street at the site of the Fredericksburg Fallen Heroes Memorial. At the memorial, a Veterans Day ceremony will take place at 10:45 a.m.

Parking is available in the Winchester Street Parking Garage, the Fredericksburg Dog Park on Kenmore Avenue, First Christian Church on Washington Avenue and the lot at 1016 Charles Street.
In the event of bad weather, the parade will continue as scheduled unless the Fredericksburg police and fire departments decide the weather is too extreme.

The event is co-sponsored by the Fredericksburg Area Veterans Council and the city’s parks and recreation and police departments.
