Fredericksburg Police Release Video Of Downtown Church Vandalism

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — The Fredericksburg Police Department is investigating church vandalism that took place in the days after Christmas. Two churches in downtown Fredericksburg — the Shiloh Baptist Church, Old Site on Sophia Street and the Shiloh Baptist Church on Princess Anne Street — were targeted, according to police.

At the Shiloh Baptist Church on Sophia Street, a report was made at about 10:53 a.m. on Dec. 27 that a brick had been thrown through a stained glass window sometime between 5 p.m. on Dec. 26 and 10 a.m. on Dec. 27.

At the Shiloh Baptist Church on Princess Anne Street, a report was made at about 2:50 p.m. on Dec. 27 that two windows were broken. The incident occurred sometime between 11 p.m. on Dec. 26 and 2:20 p.m. on Dec. 27, the police said.

The Fredericksburg Police Department is offering a cash reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect. Anyone with information about the incidents is asked to call 540-373-3122. To make an anonymous tip, send a text to "847-411" and text "FPDtip" followed by the tip.
