Fredericksburg Woman Wins $100K Virginia Lottery Pick 4 Prize After Seeing Social Media Post
Management analyst Angela Wilcher realized she won the Virginia Lottery 20 times over after a "quad 0's" drawing was shared online.
FREDERICKSBURG, VA — A social media post turned into a $100,000 reality for a Fredericksburg woman who discovered she had won the Virginia Lottery’s Pick 4 game 20 times over.
Angela Wilcher, a management analyst, realized she held a windfall of winning tickets after seeing a post online that the Feb. 27 day drawing resulted in "quad 0's." Wilcher had purchased 20 plays of the 0-0-0-0 combination through the lottery’s website.
Each $1 play won the top prize of $5,000, bringing her total winnings to $100,000.

"I saw the post and realized I had won," Wilcher told lottery officials. She noted that she plans to put the prize money toward her retirement savings.
The odds of matching all four numbers in exact order are 1 in 10,000. While many players spread their numbers across different combinations, Wilcher’s strategy of repeating the same four digits on multiple tickets maximized her payout for the single drawing.
