Fredericksburg Students Can Get Free Back-To-School Haircuts, Meals

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Students can receive free haircuts and meals during a back-to-school event Saturday in the Fredericksburg area.

Sheehy GMC of Fredericksburg and Pete's Barbershop are partnering to offer free haircuts to students in kindergarten through 12th grade. The event is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at Pete's Barbershop, 10800 Courthouse Road.

Haircuts will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis while time permits.

Families attending the event can also receive one free meal per child from an on-site food truck while supplies last.

“Preparing for a new school year involves more than buying school supplies. Feeling confident on the first day can make a meaningful difference for students, and we're pleased to partner with Pete's Barbershop to support local families as they get ready for the school year,” said DJ Bruce, general manager of Sheehy GMC of Fredericksburg.

The event is among the community initiatives the dealership supports throughout the year.
