STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — A GoFundMe has been set up to assist the family of Daniel Junco, who died after he was struck by a car at a Lidl in Stafford last week. Jared Carter, the man accused of hitting Junco, was arrested last week and is being held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.

Junco was a native of Fayetteville, North Carolina. He is survived by his four daughters, who established a GoFundMe to help cover the costs of his funeral.

"On July 22, we received a knock on our door from a police officer that gave us the saddest news of our lives, news that changed our lives forever," one of the girls wrote on the GoFundMe. "Our beloved father Daniel Junco had passed away on July 21."
