Human Skeletal Remains Found in Stafford County
The discovery was made near the northbound ramp off Interstate 95 exit 140.
A truck driver who pulled over near Interstate 95 exit 140 in Stafford County found human skeletal remains this morning, according to the sheriff's office.
Stafford County Sheriff's Office spokesman Bill Kennedy said that the skeletal remains were found in a wooded area near the northbound off ramp at about 9:13 a.m.
"He immediately called 9-1-1 and Stafford deputies and members of the Virginia State Police responded," Kennedy said. "The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident with assistance from the Virginia State Police."

Kennedy said he could not provide any additional details because of the ongoing investigation.
