Independence Day 2024: What's Open, Closed Around Fredericksburg
Most government offices will be closed and some services will operate differently on Thursday for the Independence Day holiday.
FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Many services, agencies and government offices in Fredericksburg will be closed on Thursday for the Fourth of July holiday.
Patch will be closed Thursday. Many state, county and city government offices will be closed or are open but with holiday hours, including:
- All Fredericksburg governmental offices will be closed on Thursday, July 4.
- All Stafford County governmental offices, departments, facilities, and all courts will be closed for Independence Day on Thursday, July 4.
- Fredericksburg Circuit Court: Closed on Thursday, July 4.
- All Spotsylvania County offices and facilities will be closed on Thursday, July 4 for the Independence Day holiday.
- Stafford County Parks: All outdoor parks are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., on Thursday, July 4.
- Post offices: Closed on July 4.
- Spotsylvania Convenience Center will be closed on Thursday, July 4.
- Spotsylvania Visitors Center and Museum will be open for regular hours on Thursday, July 4.
- R-Board Regional Landfill, both the Eskimo Hill and Belman Road locations will be open on Thursday, July 4.
- Livingston Landfill will be open on Thursday, July 4.
