Ladyburg: What Could It Be?

Ladyburg is not going to be a strip club, an art gallery or a food store.

But the suspense is building on the new business's Facebook page where owner Crystal Wellman isn't revealing exactly what kind of business Ladyburg will be at 807 Caroline St. in the heart of downtown. Her Facebook fans are trying to guess and Wellman is replying with some witty banter.

Wellman said she will disclose the nature of her business late next week, but until then she is trying to get people to guess on her Facebook page. Her post yesterday read, "Ladyburg is not....a brothel, a dinosaur or a food store of any kind. Good guesses though! ;-)"

In an email, Wellman said people can "like" her Facebook page for updates. She gave a tiny hint Tuesday when she replied to a guess that, "I am hoping many will think of Ladyburg as a gift shop during the Christmas season ;-)"

"There is nothing else around offering what I will be offering and I can promise that it will be engaging, interactive and fun!" she said.
