'Lights, Camera, Save' Video Contest: Calling Northern Virginia Students

Northern Virginia students ages 13-18 are eligible to enter a video-making contest related to the merits of saving money. Enter by Dec. 1.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — OK all you aspiring filmmakers out there in Northern Virginia schools. Here's a chance to promote your cinematic vision, as it were. It's the American Bankers Association's "Lights, Camera, Save!" video competition.

For those interested, students ages 13-18 need to create a 90-seconds-or-fewer video about "the value of saving money and (inspiring) their peers to become lifelong savers," and submit it by Dec. 1. Burke & Herbert Bank will complete the first round of judging and pick a winner to compete nationally for a top prize of $5,000 and a scholarship for a teacher at the school to attend the annual Jump$tart National Educator Conference.
