Look Up Virginia State Workers’ Salaries: Report

RICHMOND, VA — The highest-paid employee of the Virginia state government is Ronald D. Schmitz, chief investment officer for the Virginia Retirement System, who made $957,715 from the fiscal year July 1, 2016-June 30, 2017. The Richmond Times-Dispatch obtained state employees’ names, job titles and salaries using Virginia's Freedom of Information statute.

It's a comprehensive list, and the newspaper documented the pay for each and every state agency employee in the Commonwealth. After Schmitz, the next five are all college presidents.
