Man Busted At Court For Holding Weed: Police

A man who apparently forgot he had marijuana in his backpack when he went to court was arrested for said oversight in Stafford: SCSO.

STAFFORD, VA—A man who apparently forgot he had marijuana in his backpack when he went to court Friday morning promptly was arrested for said oversight, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office. Cedric Baron Thorne, 27, of Hustle, was charged with possession of marijuana and released on a personal recognizance bond.

It was the second time in a month someone was busted for pot while trying to enter the Stafford County Courthouse. On April 11, a guy was found with marijuana in his pocket after arriving at court to answer a charge of failing to appear on a previous marijuana possession charge.

This time, shortly after 8:30 a.m., the man approached a security checkpoint wearing a backpack and carrying a cell phone. A deputy told him he'd have to put the phone in one of the lockers, so he obliged and went through the checkpoint without incident.
