SPOTSYLVANIA, VA — A Spotsylvania man is being held in jail on charges of raping a woman who had come to clean his house in December, according to a Free Lance-Star report. The man, Angel Servin–Rodriguez, 37, is charged with rape, abduction and assault and is being held in Rappahannock Regional Jail, the newspaper reported Jan. 4, citing court records.

The victim was hired to clean Servin–Rodriguez's home in the 4600 block of Glenwood Circle in Spotsylvania County on Dec. 22. The woman tried to leave the home, but Servin–Rodriguez allegedly grabbed her and threw her onto his bed. The woman told police that she tried to scream, but the man allegedly covered her mouth with his hand.

The man then allegedly raped her, according to the report. The Spotsylvania Sheriff's Office reportedly found a bite mark on the woman's neck inflicted by the man during the alleged attack. In an affidavit, the woman said the man took her phone to prevent her from calling a friend after the alleged attack.
