Update: Fredericksburg Stabbing Occurred In Home

A man was stabbed in his Fredericksburg home, not on a walking trail as he originally reported, police say.

(Updated 1:15 p.m. Tuesday) FREDERICKSBURG, VA—Police are now investigating a Sunday Fredericksburg stabbing as a domestic incident.

A man reported that he'd been stabbed on a walking trail at the 3300 block of Fall Hill Avenue. He said three unknown males came up and began to assault him. One unknown suspect pushed him to the ground and stabbed him, he reported to police. A friend took him to the hospital, and he remains in the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police investigation found the incident had actually occurred in the victim's home, not a public trail. It appears to not be a random attack by three men.
