Man Stabbed While Confronting Thief in Fredericksburg: Police

Fredericksburg Police say victim found the suspect trying to break into his car; minor injury the result.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — A man was stabbed late Thursday night after confronting an unknown male trying to break into his vehicle in the 600 block of Kenmore Avenue, according to Fredericksburg Police.

The suspect is described as a black male, and is wanted for aggravated assault.

Shortly after 11:30, police responded to a report that a man was walking to his vehicle and saw someone attempting to break into his vehicle, after which the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed him with scant success.

The suspect fled and the victim suffered a small puncture wound in his chest.
