Man Wanted For Vehicle Theft in Fredericksburg: Police
He swiped an unlocked running vehicle outside a home, according to Fredericksburg Police, and then bailed when confronted by the owner.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — This is what you call a sinking, panicky feeling, this thing that happened to a city resident Monday night in the 100 block of Gibson Street, according to Fredericksburg Police.
Shortly after 11:30 p.m., according to police, the man said he parked his unlocked running vehicle outside his home while he ran inside for something. He happened to look out the window and saw an unknown person driving his vehicle down the street.
He ran outside, ran after his vehicle, and the suspect bailed and fled on foot toward Oak Street.

The suspect is described as a black male, 6-0 with dreadlocks. He was wearing a black-and-red jacket and blue jeans.

Motor Vehicle Theft:
100 block Gibson Street, 3/6, 11:40 p.m. A City resident reported that he parked his vehicle
outside his house and left it unlocked and running while he went inside momentarily. While
inside, the reporting party looked out the window and saw an unknown person driving his
vehicle down the street. He then ran after his vehicle and the suspect exited the vehicle and took
off on foot towards Oak Street. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6’ tall,
with dreadlocks, and was wearing a black-and-red jacket and blue jeans. The investigation is
ongoing.
Vandalism:
300 block Princess Anne Street, 3/6, 2:15 p.m. A citizen reported that an unknown person broke
the door lock on a vacant house. No entry was made into the residence. No suspects or witnesses
at this time.
Larceny – Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts:2600 block Cowan Boulevard, 3/6, 9:30 a.m. A City resident reported that an unknown person stole the catalytic converter from her vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time. This is the third catalytic converter theft from a vehicle parked in an apartment complex reported since 3/2.
Larceny:
Amtrak Station, 200 Lafayette Boulevard, 2/11, 11:30 p.m. A citizen reported that she fell asleep
on the train and an unknown person stole her hotspot device. No suspects or witnesses at this
time.
