Neighborhood Tours - History of Our Homes : Washington Avenue
The Fredericksburg Area Museum and Cultural Center, along with Hallowed Ground Tours, presents a special walking tour on July 4, 2015. Participants on this walking tour, titled Neighborhood Tours - History of Our Homes, will explore the homes and history of one of the City’s oldest neighborhoods, Washington Avenue. Tour guides will discuss the architecture of the neighborhoods that stretch over four centuries and will unravel the histories of people who helped shape the Fredericksburg community. The tour departs at 11:30 am from the George Rogers Clark Memorial in the median in front of Kenmore and lasts approximately 75 minutes.The cost is $5/adults $2/child and $2/student. Participants will receive a discounted entry fee into the Museum. The tour is FREE for Museum members.
