New Year's Eve 2016 in Fredericksburg: Church and 80's Party

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — If you want to attend a church service to ring in the year while also dressed in 80s attire and later groove to sounds of that period's music, this is the place for you.

It's the 80's New Year's Eve party at the Spot Coffee House, 445 Jefferson Davis Highway, beginning at 10 p.m. and lasting through 2 a.m.

Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes.

The event is being put on by The Destiny Church, which says it wants to "take it back to old school!!"

It's free, and all activities will revolve around the 80's theme.

Food will be provided, and there also will a pajama party for kids.
