Opiod Addiction Town Hall Thursday in Stafford

STAFFORD, VA — The Stafford County Sheriff's Office's Youth At-Risk program will hold a town hall meeting focused on drug addiction 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday at Brooke Point High School.

It's billed as "an up-close and personal informative on the effects of drug in Stafford County."

Among the topics to be covered:

• Sense a recovering addict's story of triumph over tragedy.
• Gain a parent's perspective on the road traveled with her son's addiction to heroin.
• Hear what law enforcement is seeing on the street.
• Catch a legal perspective from the Commonwealth Attorney.
