Picture yourself on a Sunset Paddle

Join Friends of the Rappahannock, Friday, July 22 for a Sunset Paddle on the Rappahannock River. The cost is $35 individual/ $105 per family of four ($28/$84 for FOR members). Float in kayaks from Old Mill Park to City Dock with trip leader Michelle McGinley and learn about local ecology and how the river has influenced American history. Meet at City Dock (207 Sophia Street) in downtown Fredericksburg at 7:30 p.m. We will shuttle up to Old Mill Park for the launch and end back at City Dock about 10 p.m. Bring snacks, water, bug spray and flashlights! FOR provides kayaks and safety gear. The minimum age is 12 years and some paddling experience is helpful. The backup date is the next day. Log onto www.riverfriends.org/events to purchase tickets.
