Power Outages Still Affect 13,000 In Stafford On Thursday As More Winter Weather Looms
13,800 people were still without power in Stafford County on Thursday morning, and more snow is in the forecast overnight.

STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — Thousands of people in Stafford County were still without power on Thursday morning, according to data provided by local electric companies. As of 10:20 a.m. on Thursday, 13,022 customers in the county were suffering from power outages.
Monday's winter storm dumped up to 12 inches of snow in certain areas of Stafford County. Now, some residents have been without power for three days.
Dominion Energy was working on 379 different projects in the county at 10:30 a.m. The power company estimated that power would be restored to many of the affected areas between 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Thursday night.

More snow is expected to come to the area beginning around 9 p.m. on Thursday night. The entire northern Virginia region is under a winter weather advisory, according to the National Weather Service. Snow totals for the area are expected to range between 2 and 4 inches, officials said.
