Raising Cane's Sets October Opening For Fredericksburg Location

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Raising Cane's is preparing to open in Fredericksburg, the chicken fingers chain told Patch over email.

A Raising Cane's spokesperson said the new location is expected to open by the end of October.

The restaurant will be located at 3071 Plank Road near Central Park's main entrance. The former Pier 1 Imports building was torn down as construction began in February, Fredericksburg's economic development department said.

The new restaurant will span about 4,000 feet, city officials said.

Raising Cane's specializes in chicken fingers and dipping sauces. "We serve only the most craveable chicken finger meals," the chain says on its website. "It's our one love."

Raising Cane's opened its first restaurant in August, 1996 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The restaurant was named for founder Todd Grave's beloved labrador.

Now, there are more than 700 Raising Cane's restaurants throughout the United States, including locations in Sterling, Charlottesville, and Norfolk.

Raising Cane's is now accepting applications for cashiers, managers, and crew members at its Fredericksburg location. More information is available on the chain's website.
