Single-Vehicle Crash In Stafford Kills 30-Year-Old Woman: Police

A 30-year-old woman died in a crash in Stafford on Monday evening after her SUV struck a telephone pole and overturned, police said.

STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — A 30-year-old woman died on Monday evening in a single-vehicle crash on Bells Hill Road in Stafford County, police said.

The Stafford County Sheriff's Office identified the woman as Nimra Farooq. Authorities said no other vehicles were involved in the crash and there were no other injuries.

The crash occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Monday near 77 Bells Hill Road, the sheriff's office said. Authorities believe the Farooq's BMW SUV was travelling southbound when it went onto the right shoulder, struck a telephone pole, and overturned.

First responders pronounced Farooq as dead at the scene, police said in a report.

Investigators are still looking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the crash or saw the white BMW SUV before the crash on Monday night. Anyone with more information can call Deputy Martin at 540-658-4400.
