The two men fought for a few minutes, and then two more men got out of the black car and assaulted the victim with clubs or bats, according to a police report.

The victim was severely beaten and woke up in the street some time later. The woman who was with him had fled the scene and did not call 911 to report the incident, police said.

The victim had lost some items of clothing during the fight and was also missing his cell phone, a quantity of cash and his bank card, according to the police report.

The victim also had multiple injuries all over his body and was transported by private vehicle to an emergency clinic in Spotsylvania. Authorities at the facility contacted police.
