Stafford Driver Charged In Crash That Killed His Brother: Police
A Stafford driver has been charged with multiple crimes related to a car accident that killed his brother in February, according to police.
STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — A man has been charged in a car crash that killed his brother last month, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office. Cian O'Driscoll was indicted on charges related to a Feb. 8 accident that killed Sean O'Driscoll.
On Feb. 8, Stafford County Deputies responded to an accident near the 800 block of Mountain View Road, according to a news release. A vehicle had left the road and struck a tree and a fence.
Sean O'Driscoll was a passenger in the vehicle. Emergency personnel pulled him from the wreck and performed life-saving measures before taking him to a nearby hospital, authorities said.

Sean O'Driscoll later died from the injuries he suffered in the crash.
Stafford County's Traffic Safety Unit investigated the crash and determined that speed was the primary cause. They noted that alcohol and drugs were not involved.

On March 2, Cian O'Driscoll was arrested and charged with involuntary manslaughter and reckless driving by speed. He was released on an unsecured bond, police said.
