No injuries reported, but culprit's identity remains a mystery.

The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office and King George Sheriff’s Office are requesting citizens’ assistance in identifying the person or persons responsible for shooting at several homes this week in the White Oak area of Stafford County and in the Caledon Road area of King George County.

“Every possible asset of the Sheriff’s Office is currently being utilized to identify and arrest the individual or individuals responsible for these senseless acts,” said Stafford Sheriff Charles Jett and King George Sheriff Steve Dempsey in a joint statement. “We are very fortunate that no one has been hurt, or worse, by these shootings.”

Stafford sheriff’s deputies have responded to calls of shots fired at homes on Cherry Laurel Drive (one residence), White Oak Road (1300 block - one residence) and Forest Lane Road (four residences) during the early morning hours of Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, according to the statement.

When deputies arrived on the scene, they were told by the homeowners that their houses had been shot at by what appeared to be a shotgun. The residences were damaged in the sides or the windows. In some instances, the projectiles actually entered the residence, but no one has been hurt, according to the statement.
