Stafford Robbery Leads To Arrests, Charges: Sheriff's Office

Two people were arrested after they were accused of assaulting and robbing a suspect in Stafford's Aquia Harbor area on Tuesday.

STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — Two people were arrested after a robbery in Stafford County on Tuesday morning. The two are accused of assaulting a victim during a robbery at a home in Stafford's Aquia Harbor neighborhood.

A robbery in progress was reported to police around 1:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 9. Stafford County deputies then responded to the home on Richmond Drive. Authorities said a caller told authorities that they could hear people threatening a family member in the home.

Deputies surrounded the home as soon as they arrived on the scene, according to a report from the Stafford County Sheriff's Office. One deputy was at the rear of the home when she saw a woman try to flee the home through a patio door. Authorities said the deputy issued commands to the woman, who then returned to the home and locked the door.

Deputies reported hearing yelling from inside the home. Eventually, the woman exited the home again and surrendered to police, according to the report. Later, a male suspect also exited the home and was arrested. Deputies then entered the home and found the male victim who had suffered minor injuries.

Through their investigation, the sheriff's office determined that the woman was willingly let into the home by the victim. Later, the other suspect entered the home through a door that was left unlocked, according to authorities.

The two suspects then began to demand money from the victim, police said. During the robbery, the man pinned the victim down on a bed and held a pillow over his face, according to the police report.

The suspects were identified as Tiffany Barker from Maryland and Kevin Allen from Washington, D.C. Barker is charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, and abduction. Allen is charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, abduction, and assault. They are both being held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
