Storms Bring Down Trees, Power Lines In Stafford County

Authorities in Stafford warn residents about downed trees and power lines on county roads Wednesday afternoon.

STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — Authorities in Stafford County warned residents to be wary of downed power lines and trees at roads around the area Wednesday.

Storms swept through the region Wednesday afternoon.

The sheriff's office posted road closures on Facebook as they are reported. Here are some of the places affected by the storm around Stafford County.

  • Rock Hill Church Road/Mountain View Road.
  • Route 1 between Manning Drive and Layhill Road.
  • The 100 block of Ramoth Church Road Monument Drive.
  • The 800 block of Mountain View Road.
  • Jett Drive.
  • The 1500 block of Forbes Street.
  • Falmouth Waterfront Park/River Road.
  • The 700 block of White Oak Road.
  • Northbound Cambridge Street at Drew Middle School.
