Suspect in Fatal Shooting Surrenders in Fredericksburg: Police

Another man already has been charged with first-degree murder in the shooting that killed Christopher Williams, 21, of Fredericksburg.​

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — A man wanted in connection with a fatal shooting early Aug. 19 has been arrested, according to Fredericksburg Police.

Fernando Booker, 31, turned himself into police Thursday was charged with two felony counts of aggravated malicious wounding.

The incident in the 200 block of Kingsmill Court left one man dead and two others hospitalized with gunshot wounds. Killed was Christopher Williams, 21, of Fredericksburg.

One of the wounded, Markuis Lucas, 19, of Fredericksburg, was released from the hospital and arrested for felony possession of a stolen firearm, and, after further investigation, first degree murder.

Police had received a call at 12:21 a.m. about a disturbance at the Kendalwood Apartment Complex. En route to the scene, police received a report of a shooting at the complex.
