Transit Service In Fredericksburg Closes Early Due To Severe Weather
Severe weather prompted the early closure of transit service in Fredericksburg on Monday.
FREDERICKSBURG, VA — With Fredericksburg City and much of the surrounding area under a tornado watch, Fredericksburg public transit will be closing service early on Monday.
The following routes will be closing early:
- Route 23: 12:50 p.m.
- Routes 20, 21, 22, 30, 31, and 32/33: 1 p.m
- Routes 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15: 1:30 p.m.
Fifty-two Virginia counties are under a tornado watch Monday as a series of severe thunderstorms that could produce heavy rains, and damaging winds with gusts up to 80 mph are forecast to hit Virginia Monday, forecasters say.
