STAFFORD, VA — A Stafford man is facing charges after he allegedly hit his Uber driver in the face and kicked out the window of his car, according to a Stafford Sheriff's Office report.

On Oct. 6 just after 7:30 a.m., a Stafford County deputy responded to a report of an assault in progress. After the deputy's arrival, the victim — who also identified himself as an Uber driver — said he was giving two men a ride from Washington, D.C. to Stafford County. Police said once the driver reached Stafford County, one of the male passengers — identified as Charles Monroe, 34, of Stafford — became irate "out of nowhere."

According to police, Monroe began hitting and kicking the seats before striking the driver in the face. He then kicked out a rear passenger window. The driver eventually pulled over at a 7-
