VA Man Fatally Injured In Crash At Fredericksburg Intersection
A 39-year-old man was fatally injured when the sedan he was driving struck a commercial vehicle at a Fredericksburg intersection on Sunday.
FREDERICKSBURG, VA — A 39-year-old Spotsylvania man died from injuries he received when the car he was driving struck a commercial vehicle at a Fredericksburg intersection on Sunday night, according to authorities.
Around 8:09 p.m., a commercial vehicle had stopped for a red light at the intersection of Lafayette Boulevard and Twin Lakes Drive in Fredericksburg. When the light changed to green, the commercial vehicle began to enter the intersection, when it was struck by a silver sedan driven by Christopher Hlusko of Spotsylvania, according to police.
Officers on the scene performed life-saving measures on Hlusko, who was taken to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries, police say.

At the time of the crash, Hlusko was wearing a seat belt and neither speed nor alcohol appeared to be factors in the collision, according to police.
