Veterans Day: Which Schools are Closed in Northern Virginia

There are a handful of firm holidays when the school bells across the region will ring for empty hallways and vacant classrooms.

Veterans Day on Nov. 11, 2015 is not one of those holidays.

Here is a list of schools in the region that are open and closed.

It’s worth noting that many schools that are open for Veterans Day hold special events in recognition of staff, family and community members who have served in the military.

Teacher Work Day:

• Arlington Public Schools

Open:

• Alexandria City Public Schools
• Fairfax County Public Schools
• Fredericksburg City Schools
• Loudoun County Public Schools
• Spotsylvania County Schools
• Stafford County Schools (Elementary Early Release)
