On the Walls: ART LIFE POP UP
Day Off Films event series Art Life takes over curation at AM for a pop up of their showcases this October's First Friday.
October’s First Friday at Art Mart FXBG welcomes Art Life and Days Off Films (http://www.dayofffilms.com) to our walls for a different type of First Friday event.
A month originally scheduled for curator Yanina Angelini Arismendi solo exhibition Modern Memento Mori, Yanina decided that participating in several group shows around the USA plus two solo shows in a month (Welcome to FredVegas at the Sunken Well opens October 13th, 6 to 9 pm) would be excessive for their health. Instead, we decided to provide our walls for an exhibition that would give the First Friday reception setting for up and coming artists to enjoy.
Art Life, on its sixth installment, is a lifestyle brand and event series focused on connecting Maryland, DC and Virginia arts communities together through mixed media event.
Leaving no art behind, Art Life showcases consist of music, curated art works by local artists, local designer’s fashion brands and a focus on networking, building community and having a relaxing good time.

Art Life is a celebration of the lives of artists living, working and growing in the DMV.
Days Off film is taking over the curation for our first Friday event and this show will not be up all month long as the gallery will be closed giving Yanina a chance to work and photograph her new series of paintings for her anticipated Welcome to FredVegas solo exhibition at the Sunken Well, and giving us room for renovating the space.
