On The Walls: Two Faced Little B!tch

Art Mart curator Yanina Angelini Arismendi marks Art Mart's one year anniversary with duo exhibition with a twist.

The ongoing exhibition which opened on First Friday includes a new exterior mural, replacing the image of the late artist Frida Khalo, as well as well as Yanina's works ranging from oil paintings to mixed media collages.

Yanina was born in Montevideo, Uruguay and raised in Fredericksburg, Virginia, attending James Monroe High School and Germanna Community College. Having never received formal art education, Yanina describes herself as a neuve invention artist.

She spends the warmer months showcasing her artworks and participating in mural jams in the Washington metropolitan area, researching new techniques and styles as well as learning from other artists, and the winter months creates new series and works on commissioned pieces.
